Adriana is an alumna of UMKC’s School of Social Work. She has experience in residential, educational (K-12 and higher-ed), and community mental health settings, working with at-risk youth and young adults and their families. She has worked in higher education since 2013 and is passionate about helping to prepare competent and energized social workers who will advance social justice initiatives across all levels. Adriana teaches foundation-level human behavior courses (face-to-face and online) and facilitates the Compassion without Fatigue workshop for the new student cohorts. She assists the Director of Field Education in managing the field office and supporting students in field practicums throughout the year.
