Pursuing a graduate degree is a major financial investment. At UMKC, we do our best to offer support and connect students to funding resources.
The Department of Economics offers a number of graduate assistantships, fee waivers and scholarships, all of which are limited and competitive.
Graduate Assistantships and Fee Waivers
The Department of Economics has graduate assistantships and fee waivers available each academic year. In addition, graduate assistantships and fee waivers are available from the research centers in, or associated with, the department. The department also has positions available each year for graduate students to teach introductory undergraduate economics courses.
Awards are announced in March for the following academic year. The UMKC Catalog has more information on regulations and eligibility regarding graduate assistantships.
