In 2020, the Robert J. Kiefer and Thekla Scholz Collection became the central focus for a collaborative virtual research project on German migration to Missouri. It involved more than thirty graduate students and four faculty members in art history, ethnography, history, and public history from the Universities of Hamburg, Vienna, Wrocław, Missouri-Kansas City and -St. Louis. During this Zoom celebration, the research team will share their multi-chapter eBook German Migration to Missouri 2.0 (forthcoming from the Landeszentrale für politische Bildung Hamburg in 2021) as well as their experiences working on this project.
This book release is by invitation only for members of the Kiefer-Scholz family. Students may also bring a guest. Access will be granted only to people with the Zoom link and passcode. Contact any member of the project or firstname.lastname@example.org for this information.
