Alumni of the M.A. in Romance Languages: French Emphasis teach French language and culture in K-12 schools throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area, in cities around the country, and even throughout the world. Some FLL graduates have gone on to earn doctorates in French literature and linguistics and are employed at colleges and universities around the nation. Still other former Masters students use their French skills in their chosen fields of translation, business, and diplomacy.

Students take 30-graduate credits (of which up to nine units can be 400-level undergraduate credits) and an oral and written Masters exam. They enjoy individualized advising throughout the entire program and some students may qualify to teach language courses while enrolled in the program.
