UMKC dual credit teachers are highly qualified, college instructors.
The Missouri Coordinating Board of Higher Education requires dual credit teachers to meet the same qualifications as adjunct faculty teaching the same course on campus at UMKC.
Dual credit instructors must have a master’s degree and a minimum of 18 graduate-level credit hours appropriate to the academic field in which they are teaching.
Approval of specific courses and respective dual credit instructors will be based upon credentials and recommendations of the appropriate Department Chair.
A comprehensive list of instructor duties can be found in the HSCP General Handbook [PDF].
